WAXING

Waxing is a form of semi-permanent hair removal which removes the hairs from the follicle. New hair will not grow back in the previously waxed area for four to six weeks, although some people will start to see regrowth in only a week this is because there are new hairs under the surface of the skin and some of the hair will be on a different human hair growth cycle. This can easily be prevented with regular waxing treatments. Almost any area of the body can be waxed, including eyebrows, chest, back, shoulders and abdominals.

A skin test is required 48 hrs before your treatment – this is essential to ensure that you aren’t sensitive to the product.

Many of my clients experience a variety of benefits that have included: Waxing lasts longer than shaving, no cuts or nicks due to using a razor, shaving can cause irritation to sensitive skin, hair comes back finer and no itchy skin on back or shoulders when the hair starts to come back through.

Warm Wax

Strip waxing is accomplished by spreading a wax thinly over the skin. A paper strip is applied and pressed firmly, adhering the strip to the wax and the wax to the skin. The strip is then quickly ripped against the direction of hair growth, removing the wax along with the hair.

Pricing:

Back & shoulders – £30
Chest – £20
Abdominals – £20
Eyebrows –  £10
Back & shoulders, chest and abdominals – £58

MANICURE

A manicure is a cosmetic beauty treatment for the hands and fingernails and has been around for almost 5000 years. The word ‘manicure’ actually comes from the Latin ‘manus’, meaning hand, and ‘cura’ meaning care.

A manicure is good for improving the texture and health of both your fingernails and the skin of your hands. Hands, fingers and nails are not usually cared for as much as other parts of the body but they’re the part of you most likely to be treated the worst.

From washing up to gardening, hands and nails often become neglected and this results in broken, dirty nails and flaky, dry skin – not a great look! Properly looked after hands and a lovely set of nails can do wonders for your image; it shows you pay attention to yourself and care about your body.

Many of my clients experience a variety of benefits that have included:

  • Relaxation of the hands and arms.
  • Silky soft skin.
  • Improved circulation to the hands/
  • Improved hydration of the nails.
  • Perfectly shaped nails and no more flaky, dry skin!

Duration & pricing:

Manicure – 30 mins – £20
File, soak, cuticle work, buff nails and massage.

Luxury Manicure – 60 mins – £29
File, soak, cuticle work, buff nails, massage and Paraffin wax.

Paraffin Wax Therapy

A Paraffin Wax treatment is a form of deep heat therapy. Liquified paraffin wax is very efficient at absorbing and retaining heat. This treatment uses warm molten wax, as it’s applied to the skin, it solidifies, giving up it’s latent heat to provide a deeply warming therapeutic treatment for your hands.

Many of my clients experience a variety of benefits that have included: One of the most effective methods of applying deep heat to relieve pain, ease stiffness in your muscles. Help with tendon and ligament ailments (tendonitis, sprains and pulled muscles). Soothed aching joints (particularly beneficial for those that suffer with arthritis, osteoarthritis rheumatic pain and fibromyalgia). It helped increase range of motion, relieve severe dryness and over worked hands. Improved chronic skin disorders (eczema and psoriasis).

Pedicure

A pedicure is a therapeutic cosmetic beauty treatment for the feet and toenails, and can also help to prevent nail diseases such as Athlete’s Foot, fungus and ingrown toenails.

The word pedicure comes from the Latin word ‘pes’, meaning foot, and ‘cura’ meaning care. Your feet should end up smooth and moisturised, and your toes perfectly shaped and polished – a pedicure is basically a manicure for the feet! Like the tires of a car, feet go through much wear and tear to hold a person up and move them around. A pedicure is the routine maintenance necessary to pamper the feet and allow them to comfortably travel many more miles.

Many of my clients experience a variety of benefits that have included:

  • Regular pedicures not only help to keep feet looking tidy, they also keep nails trimmed, calluses controlled and skin moisturised.
  • The foot massage helps to relieve tension and stimulate circulation in feet and legs.

Pedicure – 45 mins – £25
File, soak, cuticle work, hard skin removal and massage.

Luxury Pedicure – 60 mins – £30
File, soak, cuticle work, hard skin removal, massage and Paraffin wax.
