Holistic Massage

What is Holistic Massage?

The term ‘holistic ‘comes from the Greek word ‘holos’ meaning whole.

The holistic approach is all about tailoring the massage to the individual’s needs. Not just physical symptoms or ailments but helping to restore balance within the body; physical, emotional and mental well-being. There is no set routine as  the massage is changed and adapted to fit the specific requires on the day of your massage, catering for what you want and need when you come to see me.

Holistic Massage is based on Swedish massage using long gliding strokes, lifting muscles up and away for the bones, rolling and squeezing. Transverse movements, circular movements  near the joints and other bony areas (such as the sides of the spine).  All movements are applied in the direction of the heart and lymphatic flow.
