The term ‘holistic’ comes from the Greek word ‘holos’ meaning “whole”, “entire” or “all.” It describes an approach to client care taking into account your whole well-being physical, emotional and mental health. Physical health is when all your internal and external body parts, organs, tissues and cells can function properly. To have good emotional health is to be in control of your thoughts, feelings, and behavior – “a positive state of well-being which enables an individual to be able to function in society and meet the demands of everyday life. Mental health is a level of psychological well-being, or an absence of mental illness.
Holistic Massage is based on Swedish massage using long gliding strokes, lifting muscles up and away for the bones, rolling and squeezing. Transverse movements, circular movements near the joints and other bony areas (such as the sides of the spine). All movements are applied in the direction of the heart and lymphatic flow. Each carrier oil like grapeseed and almond oil have their own nutritional benefits and allow my hands to glide easily over your skin which helps to promote relaxation. There is no set routine to the massage treatment is changed and adapted to the individual.
I only use Cruelty Free, Paraben Free, Vegan Friendly, 100% natural carrier and pure essential aromatherapy oils within my massage treatments.
