About me

I always knew I wanted to make a difference to somebody at the end of my working day and I didn’t feel I was doing that by working as retail Visual Merchandiser. So I decided it was time for a career change. Working full time as an Office Administrator Monday to Friday enabled me to have the time and funding to do the Therapy courses at the weekends and gain the qualifications I needed.

I qualified with a diploma in Holistic Massage and a certificate in Advanced Massage in 2006 at the Alison Rostron School of Massage. I started practising at weekends and in the evenings from home mainly on friends, colleagues and family at first. With the thirst for knowledge and really enjoying my new vocation I decided to develop my range of therapies.

In 2007 at Jackie Hamilton school of Therapies I qualified in Indian Head Massage and Reflexology. I was then offered an opportunity in November 2007 to do regular on-site Complementary treatments at the Virgin Money Offices in Norwich. So by cutting my Office Administration hours down to part time I was able to help improve staff well-being as part of their employee company healthcare benefits which helps alleviate work stress and tension.

In January 2008 I felt established enough to take the next step by renting a Treatment Room part time from Neal’s Yard Remedies Therapy Rooms whilst still working part time as an Office Administrator and  qualifying with diploma in Sports Massage. Over the next couple of years I qualified in Stone Therapy Massage, Hopi Ear Candling, Aromatherapy, Aromatherapy Facial and Pregnancy Massage. During this time I gave up my old career and started working self-employed doing what I love up to five days a week.

In April 2012 I moved to my new premises at The Orange Grove Clinic.  I am working along side other Health care professionals  providing a fresh, inspiring, nurturing centre for all aspects of natural and complementary health in the centre of Norwich.
